Touch Math is an evidence based program that uses its signature TouchPoints to engage students with a range of all abilities. This curriculum benefits students from Pre-K, K-3, and Secondary Education, both with and without disabilities. This multisensory approach covers: Counting • Addition • Subtraction • Place Value • Multiplication • Division • Time • Money • Fractions • Story Problems • Shapes • Sizes • Pre-algebra. Touch Math is an effective strategy that has been demonstrated to raise math scores in a variety of students. Use this intuitive system as a supplement to any curriculum or as a stand-alone program. It’s easy to teach and easy to learn!

Important: Due to space limitations, prior registration is required.

The 7th Annual Conference On Best Practices
in the Education of Children with Down Syndrome

(brochure to follow shortly)
March 11–13, 2010 ~ C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University

Lose the Training Wheels™, The Down Syndrome Advocacy Foundation, and The Center for Community Inclusion at C.W. Post are collaborating again on an exciting event.

Lose the Training Wheels™, a program that teaches individuals with disabilities to independently ride a conventional two wheel bicycle will be taking applications shortly for the week of March 29 - April 02. Lose The Training Wheels™ is more than just a bike-riding program. For many children with disabilities, it’s a seemingly impossible task they can typically master in less than a week’s time. Within days of learning to ride, many children exhibit independent behaviors for the first time ever. This achievement, in turn, creates a gateway of opportunity, helping them gain assurance and self-reliance in many other aspects of their lives.

For more information about the program visit www.losethetrainingwheels.org.
Registration forms will be available soon on our website @ www.dsafonline.org.
Please pass on the enclosed press release to anyone who may be interested.
This program welcomes individuals with all different abilities.
